HOW TO APPLY

  • Choose your Service Program dates

  • Apply by email or mail

  • Complete Volunteer preparation materials

  • Obtaining or renew passport

  • Pay fee balance 60 days before departure

VOLUNTEER

The standard service program is a week with a two-week option.  

 

Trips are either Saturday-Saturday or Sunday-Sunday

 

You will be staying on campus $300/person/week ($100 deposit)

 

Included:

  • Lodging

  • Meals (3x a day)

  • Transportation in Haiti (van and driver)

  • Project

  • Oasis For Haiti’s Children expenses

  • Picnic Day at Saut D’eau Waterfalls

  • Upon request, children (12 and under) $200/child

PREPARING

We’ll process your application immediately.  We will also ask for personal references to ensure your suitability for team work.

 

You must also consider potential health hazards in the host country. We urge you to refer to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA USA for current information on health issues and precautions at www.cdc.gov

 

If the US. State Department travel warning causes us to cancel the service program within 60 days of the arrival date, or if you cancel for any reasons, you are entitled to this partial refund..

 

Oasis For Haiti’s Children provides no refunds if you are unable to complete your Service Program, or for penalties charged by airlines or travel agents.

NAVIGATION

Once arriving at the airport, Oasis for Haiti’s Children will provide all in-country transportation and logistics.  We will pick you up from the airport and provide a drop off to the airport at the end of the week.

 

Payment of trip is due one month prior to your departure date.  This is a deadline that allows us to prepare for in-country costs.

 

Your Service Program fee contributes to Long Term development:

 

Your fee reflects the actual costs of establishing and maintaining the program. Your fee enables us to raise funds for materials and important resources required to complete long term community work project.

 

Your Service Program  contribution enables financial support to the host community.

 

Ninety percent of your fee is dedicated  for program expenses. Only 10% underwrites our administrative costs.

 

Oasis For Haiti’s Children is self-supporting, apolitical and non-sectarian.
